DCCO Audition Form

Please list all instruments that you play in order of relevance, not necessarily proficiency (e.g., if you plan on playing violin with us, but are also a phenomenal guitarist, please list violin first). For each instrument, self-rate your skill using the following scale:

1 = Beginner
2 = Fair
3 = Intermediate
4 = Advanced

Decimals are encouraged if you feel you fall between levels. Please be honest with yourself: over-rating will lead to frustration and under-rating will lead to boredom. If you are out of practice, rate yourself at your current rather than previous level.

If you are a professional musician, please indicate your primary area using the following codes:

5 = Performer
6 = Educator
7 = Recent Graduate / Semi-Pro

DCCO sets high performance quality standards. We are not a reading orchestra and regular practice is expected. While occasional absences are unavoidable, musicians are expected to prioritize rehearsals and make every effort to attend all of them and the mandatory dress rehearsal for each concert cycle they participate in. Please review the documents listed below. Are you willing to commit to DCCO's attendance and practice standards and make the commitment to high quality performances?

Absences from regular rehearsals may be approved on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the Music Director. Attendance at all dress rehearsals and concerts are mandatory.

I understand that all members of DCCO are required to pay annual dues. Candidates accepted mid-season or as substitutes pay on a per-concert basis. *
